African Business Chamber was founded in 2018 by a group of business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who saw a need for more accessible business growth services and empowering ethnic minority businesses and African diaspora in our community.
Our team is made up of diverse and well experienced business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs who are passionate about supporting businesses and championing inclusive economic empowerment.
We partner with a variety of organisations and businesses in our the UK and Africa to provide comprehensive business development, trade, investment and market growth services.

We are looking for Advisory Board, Ambassadors and Committee members to support AfBC initiatives in the UK and African regions. This is a flexible part-time volunteering opportunity that may be undertaken remotely. Strategic leadership, planning and organisation, governance, business growth, and engagement are among the key responsibilities. You will be confident in a senior, public-facing post if you have previous experience on a high-level board, in corporate management, or leading operations. You will also have an extensive understanding of how excellent governance, the regional economic environment, the business ecosystem, and business leadership look and feel. Your ability to develop business relationships and manage meetings is important, supporting thought provoking conversations and tackling challenges, ensuring everyone's voice is heard, and keeping the Board focused and strategic.
Time Commitment: This is a flexible position. You will be required to take part in our quarterly remote/virtual board meetings, if convenient. Participate in the committee and planning meetings. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and senior management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Attend regional business engagement meetings and events.
