AfBC UK–Africa trade services seek to strengthen trade links between the UK and African markets by providing comprehensive cross-border trade facilitation services. Our mission is to increase bilateral trade flows, reduce transaction costs, promote investment, and support inclusive economic growth across both regions.
2024–25 was a pivotal period for African trade: foreign direct investment rebounded strongly, regional integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) moved from promise toward operational reality in several areas, and global fragmentation (geo-political tensions, new tariffs, supply-chain de-risking) created both new market openings and new risks for African exporters. FDI into Africa reached an historic level in 2024, but trade performance is uneven across regions and sectors — commodity dependence remains high while value-added manufacturing and digital services are expanding in pockets. Effective AfCFTA implementation, targeted investments in trade logistics, and scaled trade-finance solutions will determine whether Africa captures upgrading opportunities in 2025–27.
We provide tailored country and sector market reports, regulatory compliance guidance for import/export processes; risk analysis covering political, economic, and operational factors and investment climate assessment for priority markets.
We collaborate with Governments, embassies, trade bodies, financial institutions and investment firms in the UK and Africa to host business networking events and meetings including the annual UK–Africa Business Forum (UABF) and Africa Trade Forum (ATF).
We host targeted trade missions and buyer–seller matching programmes and virtual trade exhibitions showcasing products and services.
AfBC is set to launch its UK–Africa Export Accelerator (AEA) Programme, a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower investors, businesses and entrepreneurs creating innovative solutions, products and services to boost cross-border trade, imports, exports, and supply chain development between the UK and Africa. This programme aligns with AfBC’s broader mission of unlocking trade and economic potential of both regions.
We are currently working to establish AfBC UK–Africa Trade Portal for connecting buyers, sellers, and investors, an
Online export/import readiness assessment tools, Digital repository of trade regulations, tariffs, and standards; and
E-certificates for trade documentation.
AfBC offers a trusted and credible network that connects UK and African markets, leveraging deep market expertise grounded in African diaspora and business community networks.
