The AfBC Business Forum will bring together business leaders, Governments, Corporates, DFIs, MDBs, Institutional Investors, Philanthropists, PE & VC Firms, Banks, NGOs, entrepreneurs, diasporas, academia, professionals and diaspora to deliberate latest development and economic opportunities in the UK and Africa.
Welcome to the AfBC African Business Forum, an important platform for advancing dialogue and cooperation in support of Africa’s economic development and global trade integration.
At a time of heightened global economic uncertainty, Africa’s long-term growth prospects remain strong. Realising this potential requires coordinated action—anchored in effective policy frameworks, strong institutions, and meaningful engagement between the public and private sectors. The AfBC African Business Forum provides a timely and necessary space to address these priorities.
The Forum aims to promote policy coherence, deepen regional and international trade, and support investment that delivers sustainable and inclusive economic growth. It seeks to translate trade and investment frameworks into practical outcomes, strengthen market access for African economies, and enhance competitiveness across key sectors.
Our objectives are to encourage constructive policy dialogue, share best practices, and identify actionable strategies that support enterprise development, industrialisation, and job creation. Particular emphasis is placed on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises and enabling their participation in regional and global value chains.
As policymakers, we recognise that sustained economic transformation depends on partnership, implementation, and accountability. Through this Forum, we reaffirm our commitment to working closely with business leaders, investors, and development partners to create an enabling environment for trade and investment across Africa.
We extend my appreciation to all participants for their engagement and contributions. We are confident that the outcomes of this Forum will support stronger economic cooperation and help shape a more resilient, competitive, and prosperous African economy.
