AfBC North Africa Business Network (NAfBN) and The Forum is a business-led initiative aimed at empowering African diaspora businesses and engagement; increasing regional economic ties, commercial connectivity, trade relations, investment, innovation and strengthening cultural with Africa.
North Africa stands at a pivotal moment. While regional growth remains constrained by geopolitical uncertainty and fiscal pressures, the region’s structural strengths — a strategic geographic position, youthful labor force, energy transition potential, and proximity to European markets — continue to attract well-structured, long-term capital. Success will depend on effective risk management, strong local partnerships, and alignment with climate and digital transformation agendas.
The region’s trade links are increasingly diversified: robust ties with the EU (manufactured goods, tourism, agrifood), expanding connections with the GCC (capital inflows, energy cooperation), and rising engagement with Sub-Saharan Africa (transport and trade corridors). The most promising investment areas include energy transition (renewables, green hydrogen), logistics and manufacturing (nearshoring), digital services, resilient agribusiness, and tourism recovery. Yet, political risk, fiscal sustainability, and global trade frictions remain key constraints.
Egypt and Morocco are leading the region’s growth momentum, supported by major investments and macroeconomic programs. In contrast, Tunisia and some resource-dependent economies continue to face slower growth and fiscal pressures.
AfBC provides members, businesses, professionals, and investors with the tools to identify profitable opportunities, raise their business profile, promote products and services, expand networks, build partnerships, and strengthen knowledge and skills.
Join the AfBC North Africa Business Network (NAfBN) to take part in vital conversations, grow your business, sharpen leadership and entrepreneurial skills, access funding and procurement opportunities, expand trade across Africa, and help shape regional policies and strategies.
