The AfBC West Africa Network is a premier platform connecting businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals to drive collaboration and unlock opportunities across West Afr’s trade, investment, export, and economic sectors. The Network promote sustainable business growth and facilitate strategic partnerships.
West Africa presents a cautiously optimistic economic landscape. Despite challenges such as political instability and infrastructure gaps, the region’s growth potential is strong, driven by regional integration, infrastructure development, and a young, dynamic population.
The region’s economy is projected to grow 4.2% in 2024, rising to 4.4% in 2025, with standout performances from Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal. WAEMU member states are expected to see even stronger growth, with forecasts of 5.9% in 2024 and 6.0% in 2027, underpinned by robust domestic economic activity.
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will further stimulate intra-African trade by reducing tariffs and non-tariff barriers, creating a unified continental market for goods and services, and strengthening regional economic integration.
For investors, West Africa offers significant opportunities, provided there is strategic engagement, understanding of local markets, and alignment with initiatives like AfCFTA and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The African Business Chamber (AfBC) West Africa Business Network (WAfBN) serves as a premier platform connecting businesses, investors, and professionals to advance trade, investment, and export opportunities across the region. AfBC supports members by identifying investment prospects, elevating business profiles, facilitating partnerships, and enhancing professional expertise.
Membership in WAfBN provides access to high-level dialogue, cross-border trade acceleration, funding channels, leadership development, and a role in shaping regional policies and strategic frameworks.

The African Business Chamber (AfBC) is exploring the feasibility of organising a trade and business mission between Nigeria and the United Kingdom in 2026. We are eager to understand and determine the level of interest among both members and non-members. The mission will provide a unique opportunity to engage with key policy-makers, as well as private sector business leaders and entrepreneurs, to gain more market insight into the opportunities for investment, trade, export and partnership. If you are interested in joining the mission, please register your interest to receive further updates.
