The UK–Africa EXIM Trade & Supply Chain Corridor Development Programme (“the Programme”) is a multi-year public–private initiative designed to strengthen trade, exports, imports, and value chains between the UK and Africa. It aims to de-risk supply chains and accelerate the digitization of two-way trade and investment flows with priority African markets. By combining policy reform, infrastructure upgrades, trade facilitation, risk-sharing finance, and digital connectivity, the Programme seeks to establish predictable, lower-cost trade corridors. Its objectives include unlocking ££Xbn in additional exports and imports over five years, reducing average end-to-end lead times by XX%, and attracting private capital to support sustainable, inclusive growth.
The African Business Chamber (AfBC) proudly champions the MADE IN AFRICA initiative – a bold movement dedicated to showcasing Africa’s rich diversity of products, services, and innovations to the global marketplace. Our mission is to elevate African brands, strengthen cross-border trade, and position Africa as a key player in the evolving global economy.
Through strategic partnerships, trade facilitation, AfBC Africa Forums and advocacy, AfBC is driving Africa–UK import growth, building resilient supply chains, and enabling sustainable economic opportunities for African producers and UK buyers alike. We work to connect African businesses with international markets, supporting them in meeting global standards, scaling production, and accessing new trade networks.
By promoting quality, authenticity, and innovation, MADE IN AFRICA not only opens doors for African enterprises but also fosters deeper economic ties between Africa and the UK. Our vision is to accelerate Africa’s participation in global trade, enhance supply chain resilience, and contribute to inclusive growth across the continent.
